COMMON WEAPONS CHARGES:
​
HAVING A WEAPON UNDER DISABILITY: (Being a felon in possession of a firearm). The person is a felon and knew of that status, at the time the person was a felon and he was knowingly in possession of a firearm. Ohio R.C. 2925.13

CARRYING CONCEALED WEAPONS: No person shall knowingly carry or have, concealed on the person's person or concealed ready at hand, any of the following:

A deadly weapon other than a handgun;

A handgun other than a dangerous ordnance;

A dangerous ordnance. Ohio R.C. 2923.12

ILLEGAL CONVEYANCE OF A FIREARM:
INTO A SCHOOL ZONE:
No person shall knowingly convey, or attempt to convey, a deadly weapon or dangerous ordnance into a school safety zone.
No person shall knowingly possess a deadly weapon or dangerous ordnance in a school safety zone.
No person shall knowingly possess an object in a school safety zone if both of the following apply:

The object is indistinguishable from a firearm, whether or not the object is capable of being fired.

The person indicates that the person possesses the object and that it is a firearm, or the person knowingly displays or brandishes the object and indicates that it is a firearm.

INTO A COURTHOUSE:
No person shall knowingly convey or attempt to convey a deadly weapon or dangerous ordnance into a courthouse or into another building or structure in which a courtroom is located.
No person shall knowingly possess or have under the person's control a deadly weapon or dangerous ordnance in a courthouse or in another building or structure in which a courtroom is located. Ohio R.C. 2923.123.

USING A WEAPON WHILE INTOXICATED:
No person, while under the influence of alcohol or any drug of abuse, shall carry or use any firearm or dangerous ordnance.
Whoever violates this section is guilty of using weapons while intoxicated, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Ohio 2923.15.
