EXPUNGEMENT
Who is eligible for expungement?
The Ohio Revised Code defines an "eligible offender" as:
Anyone convicted of one or more offenses if all such offenses are:

Felonies of the 4th or 5th degree OR misdemeanors AND
-
NONE are an offense of violence or felony sex offense.
If the above does not apply then:

The individual must not have more than (2) felony convictions or more than (4) misdemeanor convictions.

What convictions are NOT eligible?
The Ohio Revised Code precludes certain offenses from expungement, such as:

1st or 2nd degree felonies
-
Most violent crimes
-
Assault, Riot, Inducing panic
-
Rape
-
Sexual Battery
-
Several crimes involving minors such as importuning, voyeurism, public indencency, and displaying mater harmful to juveniles.

OVI
-
Motor vehicle crimes
-
Basic traffic case bail forfeitures
