Arrest or indictment 

After the police conduct their investigation, they will either come to your home or job and make an arrest or confer with the prosecutor to submit the investigation to grand jury.  ​

Grand Jury Indictment

  1. The police will confer with the prosecutor in a secret conference known as the grand jury. 

  2. If the grand jury returns what is known as a "true bill" then you ar considered indicted. 

  3. the police will then make an arrest via the process below.

The arrest process is fairly straightforward: 

  1. The police believe you're in a certain place

  2. Several police officers show up to that place and take you into custody. 

  3. The police will then transport you to the city or county jail where you are booked in.
